Taking Worship Beyond An Event To A Lifestyle

KPC’s Worship Ministries, under Gary Walter’s direction, makes every effort to create opportunities for everyone in our church family to worship God with their whole lives.

Hands of Praise
Through sign language and music, Hands of Praise enriches the worship experience at KPC with the work and expression of their hands.
Hands of Praise (a “sister group” to KPC’s Deaf Ministry) provides Christian outreach and fellowship to both the hearing and deaf. Interpreting music with sign language, Hands of Praise is for men and women, high school and above.

Directed by Dodie Antal, Hands of Praise practices in the Celebration wing on Monday evenings at 7:00.

Banners
Color and movement were Biblical expressions of Old Testament worship. They now add heritage and richness to modern day contemporary or traditional presentations.

Under the direction of Barbara Dye, participants learn design, construction, and presentation of banners using processionals in visual worship. The Banner Ministry practices on an as-needed basis.

Potpourri of Praise
Hebrew folk dance for special outside events and to those who cannot be involved in regular worship services.

Directed by Barbara Gerhardt, Potpourri of Praise focuses their ministry toward those confined to nursing homes, retirement centers, etc. They practice in the Celebration wing on Tuesday evenings at 7:00.

Praise Bands and Worship Teams
This ministry focuses on leading and developing the worship life of the church and provides worship leadership for weekly gatherings, as well as for special events.

Leadership is a gift, and music is the tool we use to point the worshiper toward the presence of God. Praise Bands and Worship Teams are open to men and women of high-school age and above.
Participation is by audition.

Led by a variety of capable worship leaders, these groups practice at service appropriate times.

For more information and a rehearsal schedule, please contact the church office – 495-1913.

Sound
Proper sound mixes can make or break an event. This faithful ministry group handles sound system reinforcement and recording of worship services and special events, as well as special recording projects and technical training.
