This Week's Scripture . . .
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. (John 15:12)
|
Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. (1 Peter 3:8)
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. (Hebrews 10:24)
Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:11)
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:1-3)
My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:2-3)
As John the Apostle said each week to his congregation, "Little children, love one another."
Enough said.
Your Pastor,
Nate Atwood
PS . . . His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

The more the merrier!
If you're full of Christmas joy, don't keep it to yourself! Share it with visiting guests and families this Christmas Eve at KPC. Having a blue Christmas? Don't go it alone. Discover the joy of serving! Help with Cocoa & Cookies before the Christmas Eve Family service. Or be an usher at any of our holiday services (6 or 8PM Christmas Eve or 11AM Christmas Day).
Christmas is all about giving and being with others who care. If you give your time, we're convinced you'll find your joy!
Email Chris at KPC.
Thanks KPC for your generous giving!
Every year, KPC partners with Joy Ministries through our deacon Henry Justis to bless needy kids - from toddlers to teens - throughout Hampton Roads.
This year, the beautiful tree in our lobby was covered with 100 angels, each representing an opportunity to bless a needy child this Christmas. The initial 50 angels were gone in one Sunday, so we added 50 more--and you guessed it--they went just as fast.
Thank you KPC for sharing the love of Christ during this season of giving by simply choosing an angel and wrapping a gift for children who might otherwise be forgotten. May the joy of giving be abundant in your lives as we celebrate the greatest Gift of all!
Tax deadline: Dec 31
Your continuous support of KPC ministry and mission is always greatly appreciated. Thank you, KPC, for being a giving church and helping spread the Gospel locally, regionally, and globally!
Please remember, for tax credit purposes, all 2011 contributions must be received at KPC or postmarked no later than Dec 31, 2011.
It's not too late to join a team!
Applications for any of our 2012 STM trips are available at the Welcome Center or online and are due back by the January 9 deadline. There are 12 trips to pray about plus two new opportunities for teams in Spain and Turkey.
Seek the Lord now on which missions team needs you! You'll never be the same once God expands your vision of His work around the world!
