title

Children as young as two learn how to tell others about Jesus, and, boy, do they have a lot to say!

On any given Sunday, children are fed the Word, make tools to share with others, and practice letting the light of Jesus shine through in all they do and say. While they create crafts, engage in dramas, and pray together, they "witness while they work" . . . inspiring the volunteers and adults who care for them.

Here's proof from our KPC classrooms:

Little Samantha used the "I-can-talk-to-God" phone in the hallway to help her understand prayer. Turns out, 2-1/2 year old Samantha learned her lesson well. She'd stop every Sunday to use the "phone," not just to talk to God but to "call" her grandparents. When it was gone, she asked where it was, because she needed to make that call!

Understanding the story of Jonah and the Whale proved challenging for one 2 year old. For a couple of months, she had nightmares that a whale was coming for her and would ask for her teacher's assurance that the fish wouldn't eat her. Her teacher realized that God really can send a "whale" anywhere to take us where we are supposed to go...even in the middle of the night if He needs to. But the ride can be a bit scary! Four-year-old Megan's teacher had Megan and her classmates fishing for men out of a small boat with a net. How fun is that!

There's an infinite amount of joy associated with working with young children; so much so that it's contagious! Hesitant volunteers have come into this ministry unsure of the outcome only to find that the children minister to them through their affection and innocent understanding of God's love and Word.
The most wonderful thing about teaching is learning from the kids. Isn't it just like God to create mini-missionaries to carry out His plan! Jesus said, "Let the children come to Me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children." Matthew 19:14.
