How awesome of the God whom we serve to connect this medical team venture to Haiti, for which you are earnestly praying, with none other then Glen Hyde and his Super DC-3 to fly in twice with the medical supplies that Paul was able to procure through Kingsway Charities.
(Supplies worth over a half a million dollars and weighing 2,300 pounds!)
Here is Paul’s account: “Having one divine connection after another."
Connected with Glen Hyde and the Super DC-3 and received the 2,300 pounds of valuable medical supplies. Was able to distribute to two hospitals, our clinic in Cap Haitien and also two other mission organizations that critically needed the supplies. Making new friends of several organizations that will prove vital in the days ahead. Glen will bring another plane load for another mission tomorrow morning and has asked us to receive it and store for the other mission. Great networking!
Was able to connect with the doctors from St. Joseph Hosp. in South Bend---another divine God wink! The drive was long and over very rough roads, but we went to the Catholic Hospital where 30-35 surgeries are being done daily at Hospital Sacre-Coeur (Sacred Heart Hospital). We were able to donate medicine to them valued at over $200,000 dollars. The total shipment of meds we had received was valued at $500,000 which was spread between the institutions and organizations I mentioned.
Clinic is being held in a gymnasium next to the Justinien Hospital. Hundreds seen--my guess over 1 ,000 stood in line most of day to be seen--waiting for team to arrive back to get official report.
Will try to call tonight!” Paul
I’ll end this unusual (for me) prayer alert with another story that Paul related to me this afternoon when I spoke with him by phone. It’s another divine connection…God’s awesome networking of The Body of Christ. The Ministry, Thirst No More, was having a big shipment of supplies coming in to the airport. Paul was there with the major (I think of Cap Haitien), and because of their presence, they were able to facilitate the US military to get involved to transport this shipment by helicopter. If they hadn’t been there the shipment would have not gotten out of customs.
Thank you for keeping the protective shield of prayer strong over the team.
