Volunteer Opportunities
Interested in helping out with the International Missions Department? There are many ways you can get involved…even if you’re really busy!
Occasional Volunteer Needs (those that don’t require much time):
Crafty Encouragers |
Create and assemble an assortment of uplifting notes, scriptures, etc. for our workers. |
Graphic Designer |
Design materials for our department on an as-needed basis. |
Occasional Videographer / Video Editor |
Make/edit videos for special events to promote short-term trips. |
Birthday Emailer |
Send birthday e-cards to our missionaries. |
P-31 Daily Prayer Coordinator |
Make phone calls and send out reminder emails to those who’ve signed up for our 31 day prayer focus. |
Bulletin Board Decorator |
Creatively decorate / re-do our bulletin boards on a bi-monthly basis. |
Special Events Decoraton |
Make new table decorations or plan ahead for décor at missions events like ACTS13. |
Special Events Helper |
Set up and tear down at special events. |
Volunteer Contact Person |
Follow up with folks who want to volunteer to help us. |
Administrative Office Help |
Come in for a couple of hours once a week (or less) to help us with little tasks that “slip between the cracks.” |
Regular Volunteer Needs:
Perspectives Course Coordinator |
Begin planning fall of 2008 for 2009 course series. |
Special Events Team (Leader/Members) |
Help create and carry out special events like Missions Weekends. |
Missionary Care Team (Leader/Members) |
Help keep our missionaries encouraged. |
Short-Term Support Team (Leader/Members) |
Help train short-term missions teams plus organize and carry out fundraisers. |
Advocacy Group Members |
Get people involved in things you and KPC care about! Groups now being formed include West Asia and Int’l/Eastern European Reformation. |
Missionary Reporter |
Read weekly letters and emails from our 30 missionaries. Then, write a brief monthly summary updating KPC on what’s going on in each of their lives and ministries. Can be done from home if typed in a Word document. |
Writer and/or Editor |
Help generate a quarterly KPC Int’l Ministries publication. |
Int’l Student Ministries Volunteers |
Coordinate friendship partnerships linking KPC with International Students or get involved in this ministry in general. |
Videographer / Video Editor |
Make/edit monthly “Missions Moment” videos to be used at all regular KPC worship gatherings. |
