We’re all about nurturing children from ages 6 weeks to 6 years and equipping their families. If you’re committed to these precious children and would love to be involved in tilling the soil to plant God’s love in their young hearts, contact Tara Powell.

Our programs are a time of fun and excitement. We offer kids theme-based, character-driven lessons that will immerse them in a world of solid Biblical teachings that are creative and fun. If you have a heart for kids and would like to be a part of this life-changing ministry, contact Margaret Duffy.

We provide a safe, fun atmosphere where students (6th to 12th grade) can learn, meet people who will love them for who they are, and be challenged to become the people they were born to be. Relationships with the older generations are vitally important for students these days, so we connect them to caring adults who will teach them life lessons inspired by God’s truth. For more information, contact Deb Hill.

KPC understands that God created women to be relational in nature, and so we provide ample opportunities throughout the year for women to gather for fellowship, prayer, spiritual growth, and—of course—fun! For more information contact Rhonda Ruckel.

To encourage the men of KPC to live out their roles as leaders in the home, church, workplace, and community, our Men’s Ministry provides opportunities to fellowship, mentor, study, grow, and keep each other accountable. For more information contact Bill Catoe.

Our vision is to see the church at KPC and beyond live out the Lordship of Jesus Christ in every area of our lives. Towards this end, our mission is to teach the application of Biblical principles to all areas of life. We’re always looking for teachers and class coordinators. For more information contact Pam Piccolo.

KPC’s Life Groups are the small group ministry of KPC that serves to make the “big church smaller” by connecting members of the congregation to others in meaningful, life-giving relationships. Simply stated, they are a place where people can experience a sense of community within KPC. To discuss becoming a Life Group Leader and/or Host, contact Bill Gualdoni.

Interested in becoming a member? This six-week class is fun and informative. You learn about KPC, The Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC), and more about yourself. Most people make lasting friendships while in this class. Each of the major ministry areas of KPC make presentations and present opportunities to serve. To sign up, or to get more information contact Bill Gualdoni.

One of the easiest ways to get involved at KPC is to become an usher or a greeter. Hand out bulletins, help collect the offering, pass our CDs to our guests . . . and smile. For more information contact Chris Krimsier.

Between the worships gatherings on Sunday morning, KPC Café provides a place for fellowship, coffee, and quick snacks. We need volunteers to shop, set up, and serve. For more information contact Chris Krimsier.

A free lunch event, Pizza with the Pastor is designed for those new to KPC. Guests enjoy a brief welcome from our staff, a quick view into the life of our lead pastor and KPC, along with a delicious meal. We always need help in planning, setting up (and cleaning up!), and serving. Let Chris know of your interest, and she’ll be glad to talk to you more about it. For more information contact Chris Krimsier.

Carpenter’s Hands includes KPC deacons and a team of men and women of all ages. There are several teams. For more information about which Carpenter’s Hands works best for you, contact Joanie Tyson.

The KPC Food Pantry is managed by a Deacon team and volunteers who shop, pick up, and stock the pantry with groceries and distribute them each Monday afternoon from 3:00 - 7:00 to people in our community requiring food assistance. For more information contact Priscilla Self.

KPC's Clothing Closet illustrates the Love of Christ by providing donated clothes (and household items) to the needy of the local community. Though supervised and maintained by our deacons, volunteers are always needed. For more information contact Mack Homsi.

We would love for you to join us in any capacity you can! KPC has scheduled events throughout the year, such as picnics, Christmas decoration put-up and take-down, Easter parking, and other events that take place in the fellowship hall and sanctuary from time to time. There is always plenty of do and extra hands are always appreciated. For more information contact Joanie Tyson.

The purpose of the Samaritan Team is to provide labor resources and guidance to individuals within the church community requiring assistance with moving, yard work, and other needs.
The KPC Deacons coordinate the services and activities of the Samaritan team. To serve with the deacons email Joanie Tyson.
To request Samaritan Team assistance pick up an application from a KPC staff member at the front desk or call 495-1913.

The HOPE team ministers to members who lack family support, such as the elderly, members with physical and emotional illness, and single parents with children at home.
The team makes home visits and phone calls to needy persons to discuss their needs. The goal is to assist them in obtaining services or activities to enrich their lives. This assistance may result in making referrals to existing ministries within the church, assistance in acquiring needed crisis intervention services from professional community agencies, and encouraging participation in church activities. For more information contact Jane Hixon.

This team plans to offer financial, legal, and health insurance advice to the family of KPC. We need volunteers with professional experience.
For more information contact Carol Hepburn.

Would you like to help save a life? KPC sponsors two Red Cross blood drives each year. Volunteers are needed to handle registration at the events, to help in promotions, and—of course—to donate blood. For more information contact Doreen Joyce at 757.340.0781 or email KPC.

We would love to find RNs and LPNs to assist with various clinics (blood pressure, diabetes, flu, etc.) held at the church, shelters and community outreaches. You must be currently licensed by VA board of Nursing with a copy of your license available. If not licensed but interested in getting involved, we are always in need of assistance with paperwork at the clinics.

KPC honors our seniors by focusing on meeting their practical, spiritual, and emotional needs. Our Elderly Outreach focuses on providing practical and spiritual care for those who are homebound. Once a month, small teams visit our seniors to talk and pray. If needed, they assist with tasks such as moving heavy objects, yard work, painting, etc.
If you have a heart for our elderly and want to significantly impact their lives, join this “love-in-action” team by contacting Jason Plumley at (936)718-3521 or Rachel Calderon at (318)791-5900.

Our altar ministers pray for those in need. Typically at the end of the worship gatherings (or whenever called upon by the pastor during the gathering), they make themselves available to those who are requesting prayer—pointing them to God and His sufficiency. If you’re interested in becoming an altar minister, contact Linda Harrison.

Without our Media folks, Pastor Nate would be shouting (no sound) in the dark (no lights) at our worship gatherings. We’d be mumbling instead of singing (no words on the screen—and no lights to read by). We wouldn’t have EXPRESS (a weekly bulletin) or KPC CONNECT (monthly news). We wouldn’t have our website. We wouldn’t have our cool videos and slides and . . . well, you get it. And there are plenty of ways to get involved! Some examples are working with: video camera, photography, video-editing, SongShow (lyrics for worship), computer graphics, and art. For more info contact Valerie Fay.

Worship isn’t just singing on Sundays. Worship is something we can do every moment of every day, during every event, with every word spoken, every work activity, every meal prepared, every homework assignment, and every song that is sung.
KPC’s Worship Ministries makes every effort to create opportunities for everyone in our church family to worship God with their whole lives. Some examples of ways to get involved with worship at KPC are: the worship band/team, orchestra, choir, Faithful Men (men's choral group), Hands of Praise (deaf choir), dance, and banners. For more info contact Gary Walter.
